Day 1: Hanoi - Sapa - Lech Village
▾Our driver and guide will take you up at 7:00 a.m. from the Old Quarter or West Lake area in Hanoi and transport you to Sapa.
Arriving in Sapa, we will check into a local homestay run by an ethnic family. We’ll enjoy a fantastic lunch at a local restaurant, where you can try some amazing Sapa delicacies.
In the afternoon, we start cycling along the peaceful route among terraced fields in Sapa villages. The serene beauty of the mountains and valley will instantly make you fall in love with this land.
Following that, we will leave the bike and walk for a bit to see Lech Village, a magnificent home for the Red Dao ethnic group. You may tour a local home, meet friendly Red Dao people, and learn about their daily routines. You can also participate in ordinary but interesting tasks, such as growing and harvesting rice or learning to make traditional textiles.
After the biking tour, we return to the guesthouse. After a long day of cycling and walking, you may unwind by taking a traditional Red Dao herbal bath.
Dinner is served at the homestay, with wonderful home-cooked foods, followed by free time to explore the area or simply rest in the tranquil ambiance of the Sapa highlands.
Day 2: Hoang Lien National Park - Sin Chai Village - Nam Cang Village
▾Today’s excursion focuses on Sapa’s remote villages.
After an early breakfast, we will begin the adventure by traveling further into the forest of Hoang Lien National Park. We’ll stop at the hiking spot at Sin Chai Village and begin from there.
Following the path, our tour guide will bring you to Sapa’s lesser-known places. Take in the breathtaking panorama of majestic mountains, lush green trees, and idyllic waterfalls surrounding you.
The path will eventually bring you to Nam Nhiu Village of the Red Dao people, where you will meet charming locals in their modest stilt homes.
After leaving the town, we follow a dirt road into Sapa’s highlands, where we get a stunning view of the golden rice terraces that stretch all the way to the mountains. Along the route, you will see the joyful smiles of young children playing and the cheerful faces of farmers hard at work in the fields. The humble yet lovely way of life in Sapa can truly warm your heart.
Our final destination will be Nam Cang Village, one of Sapa’s most secluded regions. You will be awed by the harmonizing beauty of nature and people.
Enjoy the calm atmosphere here as you make your way to a nearby restaurant for lunch. You will be served superb Sapa cuisine to keep you going for the remainder of the journey.
Following lunch, you are free to stroll around Nam Cang Village. Take a herbal bath, explore the town, or join local shops to learn how to make jewelry, embroidery, or writing paper.
At 2:30 pm, we will head back to the homestay for some relaxing time.
The rest of the afternoon and evening is free time, so you can explore Sapa town and nearby villages or just stay in and rest.
Day 3: Ma Tra Village - Ta Phin Village - Sapa Town - Hanoi
▾Enjoy a hearty breakfast at the homestay with wonderful dishes. At around 9 am, we will check out of the homestay and begin today’s adventure.
We will visit the suburban area of Sapa, passing by the incredible landscape of mountains and rice terraces shrouded in a foggy blanket.
The first stop for the day is Ma Tra Village. This is home to the Black H’mong ethnic group. Here, you have the opportunity to visit local houses, meet friendly H’mong people, and take pictures amidst the charming scenery of Ma Tra.
Following Ma Tra Village, we will trek to Ta Phin Village, a popular and well-loved village for many tourists. Taking a short walk to explore the village, you will be awed by the simple but so beautiful life of the Red Dao people living here.
Later, we will return to Sapa Town for lunch. Enjoy a delectable feast of traditional Sapa dishes before getting on the road back to Hanoi.
You will arrive at your stay in Hanoi Old Quarter at around 7:30 pm.
