Khuoi My Village is the perfect destination for tourists who want a relaxing vacation amidst the peaceful mountain scenery of Ha Giang.
Nestled within the majestic Tay Con Linh mountain range, Khuoi My is a little-known village in Phuong Do Commune, Ha Giang Province. Comprising three tranquil hamlets, Na Thac, Khuoi My, and Lung Vai, it is home to the Dao ethnic group. Khuoi My Village exudes a peaceful, simple beauty, with thatched roofs blending seamlessly with the terraced fields running along the mountainside.
Located at an altitude of over 1000 meters, Khuoi My Village enjoys a year-round cool climate and fresh air, ideal for tourists seeking relaxation amidst the simple, unhurried life of ethnic locals.
Coming to Khuoi My, visitors will be amazed by the poetic landscape here, where nature and human hands intertwine.
The three hamlets in Khuoi My have nearly 100 hectares of terraced fields, spanning along the Tay Con Linh range like a stairway to the sky, becoming the village’s highlight. In the rainy season, water flows from one terrace to another, reflecting the sky and swirling with alluvium, creating a majestic mountain and forest painting.
The harvest season of Khuoi My presents an even more spectacular sight. The heavy rice fields drape the Ha Giang slopes in a golden hue like sunlight, becoming the perfect backdrop for the most stunning memory photos of visitors.
Along the way to Khuoi My, the landscape transforms as traditional stilt houses stand out among the terraced fields. Their palm-leaf roofs, wonderfully covered with moss that gets thicker and more vibrant with time, are the signature of Khuoi My in tourists’ eyes.
In addition, Khuoi My village is also famous for its Shan Tuyet tea with a gentle aroma and a mesmerizing, honey-toned liquor. Here, travelers can visit ancient Shan Tuyet trees or experience picking cardamom under the canopy of Tay Con Linh’s ancient forests.
Though just 12 kilometers from Ha Giang City Center, the journey to Khuoi My Village is an adventure in itself. Using Ha Giang bus station as the starting point, you can drive along the double-track road towards Thanh Thuy Border Gate. From here, turn left and follow the concrete road straight into the mountain. A little further and you will reach Khuoi My Village.
Note that this road is relatively small, with many sudden, sharp turns and steep slopes. Therefore, we recommend booking a tour with a local guide if you want to fully enjoy Khuoi My’s beauty.

Throughout Na Thac’s gardens and trails, tourists can find large black rocks with unique shapes, creating a special trademark of this hamlet.
Through the winding roads along the Tay Con Linh mountainside, the roads lead visitors to Khuoi My and Lung Vai hamlets. Here, the poetic natural beauty unfolds like a scene from a movie: terraced fields, dyed in the golden color of ripe rice, stretch like an endless carpet from the mountaintops deep into the valleys below. Scattered among the fields are charming wooden houses of local people.
In addition to cultivating rice, ethnic people here dig ponds to raise fish from mountain streams right at their homes. They also grow vegetables, raise chickens and pigs, and herd buffalo and goats on the slopes of Tay Con Linh Mountain Range.
The simple yet colorful life of the Khuoi My people leaves visitors with a strange sense of peace and gentleness.
Venture deep into the Tay Con Linh range, Khuoi My visitors can discover the Shan Tuyet tea forest, where ancient trees, some centuries old, always stand still in a sea of clouds and mist, producing high-quality tea leaves.
In addition to visiting the tea hills and listening to locals’ interesting stories, guests can engage in hand-picking Shan Tuyet tea and aromatic cardamom, a unique experience amidst this breathtaking nature.
