Day 1: Ha Giang – Quan Ba – Du Gia, approx. 120 km drive
▾Morning:
Have an early breakfast at the homestay, as we want to get out on the road before 8 in the morning.
Our adventure begins with the Happiness Road, spanning nearly 200 kilometers through the Quan Ba Twin Mountains, entering the Dong Van Karst Plateau before reaching the beautiful roads at Heaven’s Gate and the Fairy Twin Mountains.
Noon:
We take a moment to unwind in Tam Son, a charming town. Have lunch in local restaurants with simple, rustic, yet delicious dishes.
Afternoon:
Returning to the road, we venture deeper into the highlands of Ha Giang, ending the journey at Du Gia Village. This is a peaceful town nestled among Ha Giang’s wild hills, famous for its poetic natural beauty.
In Du Gia, we stay at the homestays of ethnic minority families in the mountains, enjoy a delicious dinner, and learn about the colorful local culture place through interesting stories of people here.
Day 2: Meo Vac – (Ma Pi Leng) – Dong Van – Lung Cu, approx. 150 km drive
▾Morning:
After breakfast, we say goodbye to the friendly people of Du Gia village and head north, passing the majestic mountain ranges. Immerse yourself in the cool, exciting air as the motorbike speeds forward on the winding passes of Ha Giang.
Noon:
We stop by Meo Vac Town, a lovely place known for its unique rocky mountain scenery and vibrant local festivals. Here, we will have a delicious lunch with regional specialties.
Afternoon:
After Meo Vac, the motorbike group slowly makes its way to the iconic Ma Pi Leng Pass, a winding road that is dangerous but extremely captivating. The thrilling sensation of conquering this pass is out of this world!
Evening:
We spend the evening in the ancient town of Dong Van, the northernmost point of Vietnam.
Here, we can hike up to Lung Cu Flagpole to admire the magnificent panoramic views of mountains and terraced fields, then explore Dong Van Ancient Town with numerous interesting local activities.
Dinner and accommodation will be arranged at a local hotel or homestay.
Day 3: Sa Phin – Yen Minh – Tam Son – Ha Giang City, approx. 150 km drive
▾Morning:
The last day of this adventure starts with a hearty breakfast to give you the energy to complete the Ha Giang Loop.
Today, we begin our journey from the South. The first stop is Sa Phin hamlet, where we will see the historic 100-year-old Hmong King’s palace, a popular tourist site in the area.
Noon:
At noon, we travel via the Dong Van Karst Plateau and stop at Yen Minh for a quick lunch break before getting back on the road. Passing the steep mountain roads, you will fall in love with the majestic natural beauty and wonderful atmosphere of Ha Giang.
Afternoon:
The road leads us to Tam Son Town, passing the beautiful Quan Ba Twin Mountains, where you can stop to take stunning check-in photos against the mountainous backdrop.
Following that, we will return to Ha Giang and strongly finish the Ha Giang Loop!
