Day 1: Hanoi - Ha Giang - Quan Ba - Tam Son
▾07:30 The tour guide will pick you up from your hotel in Hanoi Old Quarter
We will depart for Ha Giang by bus. Along the way, you will have a short break to relax and take photos.
12:30 Arrive in Ha Giang
We will have lunch in a local restaurant. The food is simple but delicious, using the freshest local ingredients and spices.
14:00 Visiting Quan Ba
Quan Ba District is the first stop on Ha Giang Loop. This dreamy land is famous for its Quan Ba Twin Mountains and Fairy Hills, two incredibly beautiful spots where you have to take photos.
15:30 Stop at Heaven’s Gate
As the start of Happiness Road, Quan Ba Heaven’s Gate has a harmonious beauty between the striking mountains and green rice fields extending in the dreamy valleys. Immerse yourself in the fresh air and admire the panoramic Ha Giang view opening up before your eyes.
16:00 Visit the local village
Passing Quan Ba, we will stop at a small village nestled between the high mountains. Here, you will settle in a homestay owned by a Tay ethnic family.
Spend some time freshening up before we embark on a small trekking trip around the village. You will be introduced to the signature rammed earth house of the black Dao ethnic groups and learn about the daily life of local residents.
Night:
Have dinner at the homestay, then have a good night’s sleep among the gentle Ha Giang mountains.
Day 2: Quan Ba – Yen Minh – Meo Vac – Ma Pi Leng – Dong Van
▾06:30 Morning in Ha Giang
Have a light breakfast at a local restaurant and take in the fresh morning air of the highland. We will check out of the homestay and embark on a new journey to Meo Vac.
Meo Vac Town is located on the Dong Van Karst Plateau, where you can enjoy the wild natural beauty of limestone mountains surrounding the poetic valley.
Meo Vac has many famous tourist destinations and engaging activities, like Lung Cu Flagpole, H’mong King Palace, and Khau Vai Love Market Festival.
12:00 Have lunch in Meo Vac
13:30 Continue to Dong Van
We will travel from Meo Vac to Dong Van through the famous Ma Pi Leng Pass, a beautiful part of Ha Giang Loop. On the small road, one side is the striking mountains, and the other is the winding Nho Que River – the otherworldly scenery will take your breath away.
Finishing Ma Pi Leng Pass, we will trek through the small H’mong villages, with old houses nestled among the extraordinary mountain landscapes. You can enjoy the incredible view of Ha Giang Loop and even meet some friendly locals on the way.
16:30 Check in at the hotel in Dong Van Town.
Dong Van Ancient Town is a wonderful attraction of Ha Giang, with many incredible things to explore.
Here, you can wander around the street to admire the ancient ambiance of the old houses, meet lovely ethnic people, and learn about their daily lives and culture in Dong Van.
19:00 Have dinner and enjoy the nightlife in this small Ha Giang village.
Day 3: Dong Van - Thon Tha - Hanoi
▾Morning:
You can visit Dong Van Ancient Town after breakfast.
Don’t forget to visit the traditional market in Dong Van if you’re here on a Sunday morning. You can witness an exciting scene of local minorities buying and trading a variety of delicious foods, spices, beautiful fabrics, and cultural clothing. This is also a fantastic opportunity to get presents for your loved ones.
After visiting the market, we will begin our journey to Dong Van Karst Plateau Geopark.
Dong Van Karst Plateau is a symbol of Ha Giang, closely associated with the history and customs of the local people. The landscape of gray stone mountains with multiple shapes, like a work of art in the middle of the land, brings us many emotions about the miracle of nature.
Passing Dong Van Geopark, we will visit the H’mong King Palace. This is one of the most remarkable cultural and historical monuments in Dong Van, honoring the Vietnam War and ethnic people’s lives.
12:00 Enjoy a traditional Vietnamese lunch amidst the lovely nature and villages.
15:30 Return to Ha Noi
