07:15 Pick up from your stay in the Hanoi Old Quarter and transfer you to Ninh Binh.

10:15 Tour the Ancient Capital of Hoa Lu

Reach the Cozy Vietnam restaurant. We begin our twenty-minute ride through the breathtaking Ninh Binh countryside to Hoa Lu Ancient Capital, where we have a walk around the place.

(If you don’t want to ride a bike, we will transport you to Hoa Lu via bus.)

Hoa Lu was Vietnam’s first capital, established in the 17th century by the Dinh and Le Dynasties. Here, the guides’ stories will introduce you to the spectacular architecture and historical displays of the time.

11:30 Sightseeing by bicycle

For an additional half-hour, continue your bicycle tour around the village to take in the picturesque surroundings and discover more about the way of life of the people who live in Ninh Binh.

Option 1: A 1.5-hour boat ride at the charming “Halong Bay on land” Tam Coc

Tam Coc Bich Dong is a remarkable cave system with incredible limestone mountains surrounding beautiful rice fields. A boat ride along the Tam Coc River will give you immense peace and serenity.

Option 2: Visit Trang An, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Trang An is probably the most popular tourist attraction in Ninh Binh. The place is blessed with breathtaking scenery of the flowing river and towering mountains, which were actually captured in the 2016 film “Kong: Skull Island.” 

16:00 Visit the Mua Caves.

Hang Mua, also known as Mua Caves, is a beautiful cave system located atop the spectacular Lying Dragon Mountain. From the summit of Hang Mua, you will be amazed by the expansive panorama of Tam Coc rice fields and river shimmering under the sun.

Our friendly guide will pick you up and bring you to Thai Vi Temple via minivan. This temple honors the Kings and Generals of the Tran Dynasty, one of Vietnam’s most powerful and affluent feudal dynasties.

The Bich Dong Pagoda is one of Ninh Binh’s most stunning sights. The pagoda stands atop the mountains and caverns of Tam Coc, and it is regarded as Vietnam’s second most magnificent cave system.

12:30 Have lunch at Cozy Restaurant.

Enjoy the delectable cuisine while taking in the expansive view of Ninh Binh’s picturesque mountain and river landscape.

13:30 Explore the Thung Nham Bird Valley.

The ideal time to visit Thung Nham Bird Park is in the afternoon. Enjoy a peaceful boat ride through Thung Nham, where you may see over a thousand birds of 40 different kinds flying above the sky.
